In recent times she rediscovered the delights of painting in oils and is showing them here to give focus to this new passion.
An important aspect of her art is to paint scenes of ‘Today’ helped by her interest in what she refers to as ‘people watching’. Something that started with her study of psychology is now found being expressed in oils on canvas.

Inspired by the Impressionists, Jan is never happier than when she can escape to Provence or Italy with sketch book and camera to take advantage of the scenery and distinctive light.
